Club Welfare Officer We are really pleased that Linda Williams has volunteered to be our Club Welfare Officer for 2008. This is a new position which replaces the role as Child Protection officer, carried out by the Head Coach. Linda works within the NHS, is the mother of James and Edward who play in the Pony and Bronco teams and she has long experience of working with children as both a parent and a Sunday school teacher. Linda is responsible for making sure that accepted procedures for Safeguarding and Protecting Children are embedded in all aspects of our club operations. These responsibilities, now a compulsory part of any quality sports club, are laid down by the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit. Linda will be the first port of call for any member, adult or child, who has a worry or concern regarding any situation affecting a young person in the club.
